About Yaritza A. Gonzalez
I am an Inglewood native and proudly attended Inglewood schools, including Worthington Elementary School, Albert Monroe Magnet Middle School, and Animo Inglewood Charter High School. I know firsthand the transformative role our schools can play, and the challenges students and their families can experience when they do not have the resources they need.
I earned my bachelor's from Dartmouth College and my Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, where I concentrated on immigration and education policy. I served with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, was awarded a Fulbright Public Policy Initiative Fellowship, and now works as a Policy Manager at the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN-LA), advocating for students and their families.
As your Trustee, I will prioritize competitive teacher pay, restore local control, increase student enrollment, raise student achievement, and make sure that corporations pay their fair share to keep our schools open, safe, and welcoming learning environments.
I am committed to fighting for every student to have access to a high-quality public.
My name is Yaritza A. Gonzalez, and I am running for Inglewood School Board, Trustee Area 3 because I believe every child in Inglewood deserves a high-quality public education in their neighborhood school.
